Hi there! If you are interested in supporting young scholars from underfunded communities by providing academic support in a subject you are passionate about....this is a great opportunity !

**Please read the following:
This is a volunteer position. We are asking all tutors to dedicate at least one hour of tutoring once a week. Breakthrough is offering only in-person tutoring this semester.
Tutoring sessions are held:
Bridges Site (1702 McLaughlin Ave, San Jose, CA 95122)

Monday & Wednesday

3:15 PM - 4:30 PM: Middle School Academic Support

4:30 PM - 5:45 PM: High School Academic Support

Hoover Site (1635 Park Ave H-110, San Jose, CA 95126)

Tuesday & Thursday

3:30 PM - 4:45 PM: Middle Academic School Support

4:45 PM - 6:15 PM: High Academic School Support

Sylvandale Site (653 Sylvandale Ave, San Jose, CA 95111)
Middle School Academic Support ONLY

Tuesday: 3:10 PM - 4:10 PM

Virtual - this year we will be offering limited spaces for students who have major transportation barriers the option to attend their tutoring sessions virtual. This will take place individually and not in a group setting.
Depending on your comfortability and availability, there is an opportunity to work with up to 3 Breakthrough students ranging from middle school to high school.

Background check and fingerprinting is required for individuals 18 years or older. More information regarding background check and fingerprinting will be available once we receive your application.

Pairing is based on subject knowledge/subject need and availability.
